The Singapore Night Festival this year adopts an “Art of Play” theme, aiming to celebrate the rich heritage and cultural legacy of Bras Basah, Bugis (BBB). This vibrant district, once home to prestigious educational institutions like St Anthony’s Convent and Anglo-Chinese School, has undergone a transformation while retaining its historical significance. Although these original schools have moved, BBB continues to be a hub for learning, with the presence of contemporary educational institutions like Singapore Management University, the School of the Arts, and the University of the Arts Singapore (NAFA and LASALLE). This year’s festival will explore the interplay of play, creativity, and childhood nostalgia, inviting visitors to rediscover the multifaceted spirit of BBB.
This year, the Singapore Night Festival is expanding to three weekends, spanning 16 days, promising an unforgettable experience. Highlights include the first Xinyao singalong concert at Bras Basah Complex and the first late-night festival village at GR.ID. One of the most anticipated events is the immersive Highlight Act, “Wonder World – Enter the Machine of Nostalgia,” taking visitors on a journey through a nostalgic carnival world. As Singapore’s largest nighttime experience, the festival continues to offer diverse offerings from tours and workshops to immersive retail experiences.
