STVP holders are prohibited from engaging in any employment, business, or profession, unless they have a valid work pass or participate in Work Pass Exempt Activities. Upon entry, passports are stamped with a Visit Pass indicating the permitted stay’s end date, typically 30 days. A one-time extension of up to 30 days can be obtained through the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority.

A Singapore Visit Visa is essential for citizens of non-visa-exempt countries wishing to travel to Singapore. It grants permission to enter and is verified upon arrival by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority. After verification, you will receive a Singapore Arrival Card, also known as a Singapore Visit Pass, outlining your permitted stay duration. This pass is crucial for entering the country.

Although your Singapore Visit Pass (STVP) may have a validity exceeding your permitted stay, you must adhere to the expiration date stamped by Immigration. Overstaying carries severe penalties. To extend your STVP, apply online up to 14 days before expiry through the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA). Approval notifications are sent via email, eliminating the need for physical endorsements. If your STVP was issued by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), contact mom_wpd@mom.gov.sg or visit MOM’s website for inquiries.

Most international travelers can conveniently extend their stay in the country online. To extend your stay in Singapore beyond 90 days from your date of entry or pass issuance, a non-refundable extension fee of S$40 will be applied for each subsequent 90-day period.
